Dolly the sheep was the first mammal cloned from an adult cell. Its creators were the scientists at the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh, Ian Wilmut and Keith Campbell. His birth was not announced until seven months later, on February 22, 1997. Some say they killed her because she had a lung disease, others say they killed her because she was a murderer.
