on the brink of almost no image remaining after infusing the film twice in homemade chemicals, the landscape persists. over a span of about two minutes, several things happened in front of the lens: children playing, a dog approaching to watch the waves, a family leaving the beach. it remains somewhat incredible how the film can transform an everyday scene into a sum of experiences that, although invisible, synchronize to offer a different kind of representation.
