The path they sell you, straight and narrow, is no promise of light, but of chains. A tunnel with no exit, a yoke on your chest, where the soul, in its faith, slowly stains.
They speak of riders, white and pure, of winged armies, with zealous cries. Yet their eyes are embers, their lips obscure, soldiers of an order built on lies.
Horses of alabaster, false deities, they trample the shadows, but who are they, truly? Not angels, but specters, old cruelties, dictating truths with iron and rules, unduly.
The "truth" that frees you is a veil of night, a blindfold on your eyes, so you don't see the wound. Fear, dread, your eternal plight, the cross promising a life... forever unsound.
And the path they call wide and lost, perhaps it's for those who dare to awake. Where the echo of the scream is never crossed, and the search, without god, teaches us to break.
Let the seals open, if they're seals of ire against the shroud that covers mind and voice. Let the rider fall, let faith expire, and in the abyss, at last, let us rejoice, without god's choice....
