A handmade nest created as a maquette for a larger installation. The two bird eggs were found by chance in a garden after their original nest had disappeared. Finding them without their nest left me with a deep sense of sadness and tenderness.
This small study grew from that encounter, exploring the nest as a fragile space of shelter, care, and belonging. The real eggs remain as traces of a life and a home that, for reasons unknown, had been lost.
