A little bit about the piece: I once went to a Nascar race with my dad when I was 8. We were under the stands buying a hot dog and someone dropped a beer from the top of the stands and it hit my dad on the head. The can exploded over both of us showering us in a golden mist of Budweiser and blood. I can still remember the taste. My dad walked it off and I was relieved he still bought me a hot dog. He said the F word a lot but took it like a champ. I watched the blood run down his sweaty bald head for the remainder of the race wondering if one day, I would ever be that tough.

What does this have to do with Dale Earnhardt? Absolutely nothing other than that he and my dad have the same moustache and Dale was a Nascar driver.
