The parable-like language of sacred texts has, throughout history, been carried into painted scenes. In this work, I wanted to approach that tradition through a contemporary digital method and a personal, modern style. Here is the stage presentation:
NO MERCY. JUST TRUTH. (A staged text / scene script)
NARRATOR And it came to pass: loyalty entered through a door, and met lies and betrayal face to face. That day, it was not called “revenge.” It was called purification.
(Fire rises. Upstage, an angel’s wing lies torn away and abandoned.)
LIE I didn’t do anything.
FIRE (in the tongue of the Seraphim) The mark of “I didn’t” appears first on the speaker’s forehead. I came not to burn, but to separate. What is false, I make it fall. What is true, I leave behind.
(Center stage, the FIGURE stands.)
NARRATOR The white suit is immaculate. The threshold’s clarity is visible on her. She does not rush. She does not bargain. She takes out a cigarette and lights it. Smoke rises slowly, like the sound of a verdict.
A VOICE Why is she silent?
(The FIGURE does not answer.)
ANOTHER VOICE The Empress…
ANOTHER VOICE (continuing) Big Mama. The one who protects. The one who draws the line. The one who delivers judgment in silence.
NARRATOR At her chest, there is a pocket. A rose tears through it and makes its way. As if love were not a beautiful detail, but a costly truth that passes through the closest place.
(Beyond the mountains, a castle appears inside the clouds.)
A VOICE A home of the gods.
ANOTHER VOICE Not a height the eye confirms… A height the intuition knows.
NARRATOR And it was understood: this is not an explanation. It is a stage. And on this stage, sometimes justice does not shout. It simply stands. And the verdict is sealed in silence.
