A glassy stream of data seems to pour over an invisible wall, layer upon layer in cool shades of blue. The surface appears like a frozen body of water on which pixelated islands of darker blue condense, as if digital continents were slowly crystallising out of a mist of light. Fine, rhythmic lines run through the image like etched vectors, evoking contour lines, circuit diagrams, or the traces of a plotter that has patiently followed its path. In some areas these lines build up into dense fields, elsewhere they almost completely dissolve, leaving only the faintest veil of structure over the bright ground. The image hovers precisely between landscape and algorithm – like a view into an artificial atmosphere where geometry and water, code and clouds intermingle.
