Small Works: Morning Coffee

Exploring the transition between analogue and digital methods of creations.

This piece started as a water colour painting, created using pigments that I crushed and ground from local stone and clay before turning them into a water colour tab. To match the accidental mark-making aspects of water colour, I used digital methods to further abstract and blend the composition until a complementary balance was reached.
