Daughter of the giant Thjazi, killed by Thor, Skadi took on the mission of avenging her father's death as there were no men to take on the task. She took her helmet and all the weapons at her disposal and traveled to Asgard. Despite arriving at the gates of the God Realm fully armed, the locals made her an offer: choose her husband from among the Asgardians just by looking at their feet.
