R E A L: R E A L #17

It is a collection of only 33 art banknotes. This collection whose common thread is money as an artistic medium, the riskiest and most tempting social symbol, connotes all the narratives around the works as a whole and gives it a final solution. These works are parodies or ingenious metaphors, which can acquire a critical nuance about social reality, the ambiguous conditions that surround us.

In this collection the images are placed in a new context in which they assume new values and meanings. The image of children with expressions of longing, grieving, sorrowful, in the center of the banknote, in the place of always the martyrs (characters symbolic for each nation) alludes to the fact that children represent the future, and are living in a society of consumerism, raw, where the worship of money has become the only mode of survival.
