R E A L: B O D H I real #12

B O D H I is an oil painting on top of the silkscreen of a banknote. Bodhi animation touches on a theme that can be looked at in various ways, and it depends on the viewer's experiences and knowledge to decipher its interpretation. I have had moments in my life, when I have looked to the sky for answers. It's all been in vain. After a lot of walking, the answers came from within, a tremendous surprise and riddles that have been haunting our heads for centuries. Today I can say that under the branches of the Bodhi I have become enlightened

In this collection the images are placed in a new context in which they assume new values and meanings. The image of children with expressions of longing, grieving, sorrowful, in the center of the banknote, in the place of always the martyrs (characters symbolic for each nation) alludes to the fact that children represent the future, and are living in a society of consumerism, raw, where the worship of money has become the only mode of survival.
