Artist and writer Mieke Marple and visual effects artist Francisco García Nava talk about their respective artistic journeys and recent work on Marple's 42 second film for Non Fungible Castle: "Cold and silent, like a heart." The film is a feminist reinterpretation of Antonín Dvořák's symphonic poem: "The Water Goblin" (1896), based on a Czech poem of the same name from 1853. It is Marple's first time combining text with imagery, working with a creative collaborator, and dealing with issues pertaining to motherhood and abortion–all topics that will be touched on.
