Ibuki Kuramochi is an interdisciplinary artist whose work spans Butoh dance, digital media, video, and performance. Her art stems from an exploration of her own female physicality and the cyclical nature of her female body. She found a deep resonance between Butoh dance philosophy and her own mode of expression in her art, she explores physical transformation alongside the concept of Post-human feminism, melding these themes into her work. She also uses technology to critically examine gender traditions and conceptions.
