Artist Andrew Benson joins NFTuesdayLA to discuss his generative and experimental NFT Art projects that stem from an established practice of deconstructing digital media from the ground up. Benson’s process challenges the methods and processes of image creation and generative art through a persistent exploration of feedback networks, human gesture, and synthesis. Benson honed his singular approach to video and digital media in the context of early 2000s DIY performances and musical collaborations. He has since built an artistic practice that encompasses live visual performance, web works, installation, animation, and generative experiences. Today he brings his peculiar, rigorous and playfully defiant sense of digital media to web3 through independent NFT projects like Grinders, Shadow Flora, and most recently Energetic Beings (in partnership with Highlight and FWB).
