Astro Somethings: Solar Minimum

Taken during the August 12th solar eclipse in Spain, this image shows one of the most minimal views one can see of our solar system giant, the sun.

Being mostly obscured by the moon this offers a new perspective in the way we see the usually large and very bright sun. It also offers less than the normal ring of fire glory images.
