The wind howled a mournful dirge across the desolate plain, carrying with it the distant, unsettling yips of coyotes echoing through the skeletal trees. A lone figure, clad in tarnished armor that groaned with every subtle shift, rode a steed whose breath misted in the cold air. Each step of the horse was accompanied by a low, persistent creak of leather and the faint clanking of metal against metal, a rhythmic counterpoint to the wind's lament.
From physical to digital: this artwork's journey began with a collage on a baseball card, enriched by watercolors and pens. The image then entered a phase of digital transformation, first through pixelation with Destroypix, followed by audio-reactive manipulation in Photomosh Pro. The accompanying audio, integral to the piece's movement, is a blend of analog and digital techniques, featuring tape loops, diverse samples, and a distinctive coyote sample provided by my friend Sage. The audio was composed and mixed in Reaper DAW, utilizing the Tape Mello Fi plugin and mastered with Brainworx Masterdesk Pro.
