The Ancient Humans' Desperate Times
Punished by the Goddess of the Sun for their greed, the God of Famine showed no mercy and the lands of the Ancient humans were suffering. Controlled by Town leaders who had been deceived by a false god, the Ancient humans begged and prayed for mercy - some were planning to take up arms and fight, while others were tempted by gods of sin and temptation.
In the midst of their desperation, the Goddess of the Moon watched from the forest, her heart breaking. Seeing the devastation of the people, she sought out the help of the God of Prophecy. He, having no allegiance to any god, loved to be in the middle of all the action - positioning himself to be sought out by the Ancient humans.
The God of Prophecy's Plan The God of Prophecy knew the Ancient humans needed a way to appease the gods and end the famine, and he had the answers they sought. He crafted a plan that would make the gods forgive their sins, but it would require a great sacrifice - one that the Ancient humans were hesitant to make.
The God of Prophecy urged the Ancient humans to make the ultimate decision, and with a heavy heart, they agreed. The plan set in motion, the Ancient humans held their breath, hoping it would bring an end to their suffering but afraid of what the sacrifice will be.
It was a gamble in which the stakes were unimaginably high. But for some of the Ancient humans, they believed this was the only way.
