God of Greed

In the time of great abundance and happiness, the humans had built a prosperous civilization. They were knowledgeable about the changing seasons and the powers of the sun and the moon. They lived in a time of peace and spiritual growth, and all seemed perfect. However, with abundance came the power of greed. It seeped into the hearts and minds of the humans, causing them to become selfish and calculating. They wanted more, always more, and they began to fight amongst themselves to achieve their goals. The God of Greed had manifested himself in their civilization, and his power was great. He whispered in the ears of the humans, tempting them with riches and power beyond their wildest dreams. They succumbed to his seductive voice and became consumed by their desire for more. The fighting intensified, and soon a long battle ensued. Brother turned against brother, and blood stained the land. The God of Greed watched from the shadows, delighted by the chaos he had created.
