New quiet: new quiet 1

Whilst I've set myself the task of learning new skills and acquiring new practice based knowledge, these 'new quiet' pieces have come to represent a sense of sanctuary for me, where I can indulge my love and fascination with composition , form and colour.

Although new, these pieces are firmly established on a continuum with my previous abstracts as I've used photographs of my previous work as the palette for the new. The search for balance between the 'hand made' detail and accident also remains my main focus. I'm still pursuing something new and beautiful but this time I'd like to think I'm introducing a softness and a quiet to my art.
