Trees: Rainforest

This work is a combination of calligraphy and drawing, done in traditional ink and pen with simple, stylized representations of grass or undergrowth. The overall style is abstract, making it more reminiscent of a forest than a very realistic representation. The interweaving and overlapping of the lines that make up the tree trunks creates a sense of movement or depth. The lines are thick and have varying thicknesses, giving them a sense of volume.
