The Valknut, also known as Odin's Knot, serves as a symbol representing the transition from life to death. As per Davidson's insights in "Gods and Myths" (page 147), it is often associated with the concept of the god's ability to both bind and unbind. Among the numerous supernatural attributes of Odin, one of his significant roles is that of a psychopomp. In this role, he acts as a guide for the souls of the departed, leading them to the afterlife. The name of this symbol is frequently interpreted as "knots of those who have fallen in battle." This symbolism highlights the warriors chosen by Odin's Valkyries from the battlefield and brought to Valhalla.
