I used to believe every face I wore was a choice. Now I know most of them were survival. This room holds every version of me I created to be accepted, protected, understood, or simply left alone. None of them were lies, yet none of them were entirely true. They were fragments, born from different moments, different fears, and different hopes. Sometimes I return here, not to mourn who I was, but to remember that every mask carried a lesson. Every forgotten expression preserved a piece of the person I was trying to become. People think an archive is a place where the past is stored. They are wrong. An archive is where the past continues to breathe. These faces are not waiting for me to wear them again. They are waiting for me to recognize them… thank them… and finally walk beyond them.
