"Purple Haze" is a work incredibly close to my heart, a true labor of love and a profound exploration of my own artistic vision. I'm thrilled to present this piece as an Open Edition on the Tezos blockchain, inviting you to share in a journey that truly shaped my understanding of photography.
The idea for "Purple Haze" was born from a fascination with how a single subject can transform over time, affected by the subtle shifts in light, atmosphere, and even my own presence. I chose this particular tree, a silent witness to countless moments, as my muse. Over a period, I captured 16 individual photographs of it, each one a unique snapshot from a different point in time.
The magic truly began in the post-production. My aim wasn't just to layer images, but to blend them, to allow the essence of each moment to bleed into the next, creating something entirely new. I wanted to evoke the spirit of Impressionism – not just in its visual aesthetic, but in its philosophy of capturing a fleeting impression, a sensory experience rather than a strict representation. The subtle "purple haze" that emerged became a perfect metaphor for this elusive quality.
