Casting/staging: The actors should be selected for stamina and physical perfection. Then covered in rat costumes preferably sourced from surplus mascot supplies and/or blankets stolen from the homeless, depending on budget. Offstage, a black sheep, muzzled, unattended. Set design as in: @Xer0x_NFT's Royalty.
Scenes should be randomized and repeated indefinitely. The current scene signaled to the actors by means of an overly complicated series of factory whistles, capable of piercing even the dullest worker's reverie.
Actors who fail to keep track of their lines or collapse from exhaustion (especially in the critical 5th and 6th hours of the performance) should be fired at the earliest possible opportunity. No exceptions for illness, dehydration, or grief.
By no means should the audience be allowed to enjoy the candy. It's not for them.
