Open Edition: The Lady Of A Thousand Flowers

The lady of a thousand flowers loved her husband passionately. But waiting for the return of the bravest commander of the land of Persia was very hard and exhausting. The commander had gone to war and the Lady of a Thousand Flowers could only wait. She decided to plant a thousand flowers in the palace garden until the commander returned. Days passed and she only planted flowers. One flower, two flowers, three flowers... until it was time to plant the thousandth flower and she was sure that the commander would return after planting the thousandth flower. She planted the 1000th flower, but she fainted from the excitement of meeting the commander. The palace staff took the lady to her room. Suddenly, the sound of the commander's footsteps echoed in the palace... and from then on, people called her, the Lady of a Thousand Flowers.
