A cutting from a Kalanchoe has been planted in a humble piece of plastic bottle to take root. If it endures and thrives, it will be moved to a spacious terracotta pot, where new shoots will emerge and it will grow into a magnificent, full plant. Those new shoots, in turn, can become the starters of entirely new pots—much like our human lives. If we patiently withstand the hardships of our small, makeshift “plastic bottle” phases, we earn the worthiness of a grand terracotta home, filled with a beautiful family all our own.
