The light inside

I opened my heart to you, and once again found myself caught in a storm of emotions.

Wave after wave pulled me under, leaving no space to breathe. Pain swallowed every thought, until nothing else could be heard.

And yet — the light within me keeps searching for hope.

I will never lose it.

Even in moments when the world feels as though it’s collapsing, when my heart seems shattered into thousands of fragments, a small candle continues to burn inside me.

Its flame may tremble, but it will never go out.
