Following the Decree of Cyrus, the road home was finally opened. Years of captivity, exile, and separation from the Holy City were coming to an end. Caravans departed from Babylon toward Jerusalem, carrying men, women, and children whose memories of their homeland had survived only through stories and prayers. They traveled not only to return home, but to restore their identity, faith, and heritage. Along the dusty roads they carried the stones of a future Temple, the tools of rebuilding, and a hope that had never died. When the walls of Jerusalem appeared on the horizon, many wept, for a dream preserved through generations had finally become reality. The Fifth Scroll proclaims: "Return is not the end of exile; it is the beginning of rebirth."
