I have a tendency to romanticize nature. And there’s truth in its beauty, its desirability, its abundance… Yet it’s also wild. And it hurts.
Sometimes, I want to be very close to it. To strip down and feel the wind, be surprised by the touch of twigs, to have the sun reach places it normally doesn’t.
And well, some questions like this seem inevitable. What is nature? "... I am nature!" Perhaps Pollock’s best phrase. And I think the phone I used to take these photos is nature too. And the Internet. And NFTs. And everything that exists.
So, I extend my nakedness from the nature of the bamboo forest to the nature of the blockchain. And to the nature of screens. Turning my stripping into nudity as I place it before human eyes. And I find pleasure in that too. I’m not sure what John Berger’s opinion is regarding the pleasure of those who reveal their bodies, beyond the perspective of those who look. Or those who observe. Or those who simply glance.
At the same time, I can’t help but wonder why I do it with a mask on. The first thing that comes to mind is that I like to combine. To combine art, clay, nakedness… And maybe also the erotic, which conceals some desires.
