this is the story of the rainbow fish who gave away his shiny scales until every fish around him got a chance to feel special.

the rainbow fish didn't see any other way of befriending the fish around him. they all seemed to be jealous of what made him different.

so, the rainbow fish gave away his scales to his fish friends until he had one scale left. left and right, the fish around him ask for even more scales because they believe it'll make them even prettier.

the fish around him started fighting each other so that they could take the other shiny scales.

conflicted with the greed and violence around him, the rainbow fish swam as far as away as he could into the deep blue sea. hoping to find other creatures who will want him for who he is on the inside, the rainbow fish aimlessly swims into the pacific.

you see, it was never the shiny scales that made the fish special, it was the fish's kindness and love for everyone that separated him from the rest; the fact he could see everyone's best.

just keep swimming, fish. there is love out there.
