Catering Pak (CryptoMeme #002): The Real Island Boy, 2022 (CryptoMeme #009)

A commentary on everything wrong with social media, excepting it has inspired a bunch of entertaining memes. The Island Boys are hideously untalented rapper/singer twin brothers from Florida who became a viral sensation in Jan 2022 just for being so embarrassingly awful. Combined with a 'look' which can only be described as well, iconic, even though it's completely derivative of contemporary black artists; a meeting point somewhere between all the Lil's (Pump, Peep, Wayne etc) and a famous clown named Krusty. It underlines the contemporary cultural habit of creating celebrities from those with no redeeming features and rewarding them for as little effort as possible; thus making it so those with the least to contribute the most influential. The only good news is there are a lot of alligators roaming around that state, so we live in hope.
