My early morning walks on the serene Ghats of Varanasi are filled up with thoughts and my hopes are to capture memorable moments that will be with me throughout my life. One fine morning, I heard a voice that was soulful and reflected my inner self. It guided me to walk on the right path down towards the banks where I saw a feeble elderly man draped in a shawl, singing and feeding the seagulls with strong intentions of kindness. This view was beautiful and relatable to me as that day my mind was in a dilemma to either go out or not and gave me a direction to my restlessness. As an artist, my inner fear was that am I doing good enough or is it even worth going out daily to capture these moments but the old man's quest for tranquility gave me a direction to walk on the path of conquering my inner fears. This helped me to realize that in all likelihood I am on the right track towards salvation. This picture feels lively and even today I can recall his soulful voice.
