One Night in August: Airwaves, 2019

ONIA #87

I never anticipated my life looking anything like it does today. I surely thought I'd be working on Capitol Hill still and have a promising career in politics by now. But life doesn't turn out how we planned, and I'm so glad that's the case. Being an artist and being free and able to make art and pursue creative endeavors every day is such a blessing for me. It took some getting used to -- being able to work whenever I want, do whatever I want, and not follow a "schedule" has been a huge learning process for me. Plus, this piece was inspired by a bowl of cereal.
