The sunrise is not the distant horizon, looking out from dystopia. It's within us and the communities we care for. The futuristic landscape is neither polished and hopeful, or harsh cyberpunk dystopia. It's familiar urban clutter, the luster only generated by the characters that inhabit it. A nod to the less overt, systemic issues that shape our lives, and the shortcomings of tech innovation as a standalone solution. Inside a library / hackerspace / makerspace, our communities reconnect and repair. Inspired by the right to repair movement. Created for Creative Capitol & DEFCON Hacking Conference.
