The famous Wanaka Tree stands alone out in the lake. This image was captured in 2017 before the lower branch was vandalized. I was on a 10 day campervan trip across New Zealand and due to the tight schedule, I landed at this spot mid day on a sunny clear afternoon. A photographers worst fear! I spent some time walking the coastline looking at my options and landed on this composition. I stacked multiple ND filters and took a long exposure that made the lake smooth as glass and capture motion in the far off clouds.
