Site Specific: Light

Light - time lapse painting, 5 x 4 m, biodegradable paint, Odessa, Hribovka, Ukraine 2020

Time-lapse painting of sun tracks projected through the windows of an abandoned house in Ukraine. The sun's imprints, bringing light and warmth into the former home, were recorded in white paint over the course of three days. The individual shapes were separated from each other, and the overall scene was completed with an original light source. This creates an illusion of spatial layering in the painting and at the same time, multi-source lighting of the space.
