Self-portrait as I let the waves crash by my feet for sunrise.
One of the most important things I’ve learnt in my years of photography is to be adaptable. You may have a particular image in your head, but the weather, or a myriad of other factors, may make this impossible.
I was originally hoping for a shot of the coastline showing the beautiful colours of sunrise, but the overcast conditions meant it wasn’t to be.
As I was bringing my drone back, the sun briefly poked its head out, and the long shadow this created made for a pretty epic composition.
