21/10/20 – Lake Paron, Caraz - Ancash – 4,180 M.A.S.L
During pandemic, travelling inside of Peru was barely possible due to the mobilization restrictions imposed by the government due to the Covid Pandemic situation, nevertheless, a group of friends and I, travelled from Lima in a 10-hour car-trip during rainy season to visit lake Paron.
What we found the moment we arrived to this sanctuary was this majestic rainbow in a place untouched by people for months, a unique sighting.
According to the Incas, the Rainbows Axis made the governing person the chief of the community, endowing supernatural power. The Rainbow was a protective divinity of the Incas.
A rainbow is caused by sunlight and atmospheric conditions. Light enters a water droplet, slowing down and bending as it goes from air to denser water. The light reflects off the inside of the droplet, separating into its component wavelengths or colors.
Includes a 1/3, 60x106 CM fine art, metallic cotton print framed in aluminum.
