The reason I wrote this painting was simple: I wanted to paint a summery sunflower picture. Contrary to the simple reason, I was very particular about the details. I did my best to convey movement throughout the illustration by comparing the flow of water and the placement of the goldfish many times. In particular, I spent a lot of time hand-drawing almost all of the clothing decorations and lace patterns. I drew a lot of frills in the design, which added not only beauty but also cuteness. I hope you will notice the difference between the solid fabric of the kimono and the transparent fabric of the lace.
Also, when I was coloring, strangely enough, I could hear the scenery of the sunflower field and the murmuring of the water. I would be happy if everyone could feel the cheerful energy and fresh colors of sunflowers.
