Self Submerged: Light in the Dark

Embracing the dark parts of myself has always scared me. I felt like if I went underwater I would never be let back up. Avoidance of these parts of myself left me to lead my life in fear and dim the light I had. Recently I’ve gone through loss and accepted and welcomed in the deep. What I have found down here is that when you balance dark and light, the light looks so much brighter and you can finally see through the dark. This piece is a visual representation of me coming to see that living my life in balance of all things is truly beautiful.
