She’s thinking of doing something bad.
My cousin Peter’s cabin and the surrounding lands are a dreamworld. As one of ten cabins in what I like to call “Upstate New Jersey”, it sits on a plot of protected land beside a picturesque lake, feet from the Appalachian trail, where I spend summers catching frogs and walking barefoot on moss.
I float around this house in old gowns, with friends or alone, playing dress up and cooking meals, laughing, laying in the sun. My friends came up to help me shoot at this location so perfect for something pretty or something scary. I stand here often, staring at the walls, lingering in the hallway, soaking in all of its angles. I don’t think I’ll ever run out of ideas for this place. It is a perfect time capsule, full of vintage furniture, dinner ware, etc. Each time I shoot here I greatly enjoy painstakingly arranging everything and creating a set.
