I was obsessed with trains as a kid. I’m told I used to jump up and run to the window at my catholic school on Long Island that was adjacent to the railroad split to north/south shores. My grandfather took me for rides every Saturday (but always away from NYC for some reason). I had a pretty solid electric model setup complete with the LIRR diesels. It was an addiction to transportation technology to say the least. When I started to notice train yards as an adult I set out in search of the best way to create an image like this one, an abstract, full-frame wall-to-wall that screams Lawn Guyland in my favourite tone.
