Whirlwind: Apocalypse
The ground shakes beneath my feet
The scents of freshly churned earth permeate the atmosphere
Black dust obscures my vision as freight train-like screeching reverberates through my body
I can barely hold my camera still as cataclysmic winds threaten to carry me away with them into the cyclone churning before me
It seems beyond comprehension that I could be standing so close to something so powerful, so ominous, so destructive
And yet somehow so entrancing
It's like hurling yourself toward the edge of the universe and watching it collapse and implode before your eyes in a vibrant display of gas and dust
Apocalyptic beauty
