Selections that could only emerge within a specific space, a specific time, and a specific body become fixed as irreversible traces. Yet these traces do not represent the decisions that were made; rather, they mark sedimented surfaces of innumerable sensations and possibilities that were not chosen.

Before functioning as a device for conveying meaning, moving images retain the residue of fragmentary sensations and unrecorded processes that surfaced prior to the stabilization of structure. The point of departure for expression lies not in a clearly defined intention, but in a connection to states that have not yet been structured—states formed at the intersection of space, body, and perception.

Interactions among technology, nature, and the body—systems of different orders—do not converge through integration or transformation into a unified whole. Instead, they appear as non-assimilative relationships, coexisting while each maintains its own structural integrity. Such relationships resemble forms of structural equilibrium observed in microbial communities or plant interactions—neither dependency nor domination. While mutually influencing one another, each element sustains its own internal order.

This multiplicity functions as an open system that resists reduction to singularity. The visualized image is merely the surface of these mutual interferences. Beneath it, unstructured cognition—or sensations that have escaped formalization—continue to resonate quietly. The change that occurs here is neither the reception of meaning nor the reorganization of structure, but a subtle update taking place in the deeper layers of perception.
