1/1's: EVERYDAY
when i first started smoking weed, i told myself i'd only smoke on special days... then i realized that every day is a special day 😮💨
a bit about this piece:
i've become obsessed with honing the craft of hand-drawn animation. i love that you can use your hand, no software besides procreate and a magic pencil on an ipad, and sketch an entire world, and bring it to life. the character in my pieces, "Satoshi's Mom," represents all stonerz, all those who find stillness and emanate vybes. in this piece, the character sits chillen on the beach, cup in hand (maybe it's cold asf beer, maybe some dank effervescent kombucha, maybe some wine, or just something cold-to-drink that rly hits during a sesh)... cooler to the left at the ready, filled with more dankness, ez access. the waves are hitting, it's sunny, and we're chillen, absorbing all the moments. joint is lit, we are smoken, inhaling dank herbs; herbs that facilitate the awakening of our creativity inside, our wonder and our awe for the world... birds are flying around, boats are rushing by, but the most beautiful part is the sky-writer, flying thru the sky, conveying a deep & incredibly dank message: "SMOKE WEED EVERYDAY" – written with the propulsion of their aircraft. To me, this piece represents those moments in life that simply seem so magical, that you realize them when you're in them, you appreciate them, and they could almost bring you to tears. the moment when everything feels perfectly aligned in your heart and your soul, and therefore in your reality. this piece represents so much to me, but most importantly it reminds me of my growth as an artist, and how i love this craft so much. the ability to escape the world in meditative action through art invokes a feeling that words cannot describe. may this piece inspire all those who find peace with it; who can feel its soul <3
with so much luv,
