The perception that something is missing from one’s life, without the clarity of what one is yearning for is represented by the German word, “sehnsucht”. Our lives are often spent seeking that which we do not already have, and we hope to find fulfillment when we obtain our desires. It is disconcerting, though, to be unable to determine what would bring one satisfaction. Sometimes it is a matter of beholding the things that already surround us from a different perspective and finding the happiness we had overlooked.

This piece is a 1/1 edition carefully created by Maneki Neko. It began as a text-to-image collaboration with an AI to generate many graphic variations on a concept. It was finished by collaging images from five or more variations together to create a piece with a coherent color scheme, expression of a theme, and packed full of intricate detail.

Special note for this piece: this was originally a mint in "The Beholders" collection by Maneki Neko on Foundation. Unfortunately, her wallet associated with that account was compromised, so she had to move this creation to her Manifold contract.
