Cyclops 1

Cyclops was recorded live in 2003 at the Experimental Television Center (ETC) in Owego, New York, using raw electrical signals to produce analog video and audio. In this work, LoVid’s signature colorful abstraction made with audiovisual tools (synthesizers) forms a composition that sits between control and chance. As such, Cyclops suggests representation, addressing video’s display properties and reflecting LoVid’s ongoing investigation of relationships between natural environments, the body, and technological systems.
