VideoWear is garb for a retro-futuristic universe where technology has developed as an extension of organic systems. 14 LCD screens, interconnected by hundreds of feet of wire, are embedded in protective sportswear and covered with sewn patchwork of video stills. VideoWear was created in 2003 and was incorporated into many of LoVid’s exhibitions and performances. In 2004, LoVid documented the garments in a series of photographs. These photographs are the only documentation of the initial form of the VideoWear sculptures, which were also LoVid’s first textile and video installation work. This NFT is a digital version of the original 2004 photograph of ArmTangle and is permanently connected with a physical version of the editioned photographic print.
