It’s a cold, rainy March morning. The last few days had already been warm and sunny signalizing an incoming spring. That changed a bit today. You woke up to the sound of the raindrops tapping against the windowpane in a soothing rhythm and a distant sound of a car driving by in the rain every now and then. The mood is exactly the colour of your room – sky blue. You feel content and relaxed.
You’re still in bed, snuggled up in your blanked surrounded by your ever-increasing collection of art. You collect 1/1s, individual editions or bulks, airdrops or OEs. You don’t care, you just collect.
Posters of artworks from your favourite artists cover the room wall-to-wall and photo albums filled with even more pieces lay open across your bed. The room is messy, but it’s a comfortable mess - the kind that comes from being surrounded by things you love. Art is everywhere, in and outside of your head.
You don’t specialise in what you collect, you simply take pleasure in owning pieces by artists you know and want to support. Supporting their work by buying their art brings you a sense of fulfilment and connection.
This is just the perfect morning for some art collecting. You are warming your hands up holding a cup of hot chocolate and losing yourself in the images before you. Each piece tells a story, captures a moment in time, tells you a bit more about the artist every time you look. You feel a sense of satisfaction knowing that these artworks are yours to keep and cherish.
As the rain continues to fall outside, you can’t think of anywhere else you’d rather be. This is your sanctuary, your haven. A place where you can indulge in your passion for art and let the rest of the world fade away.
