"Shaheed" means martyr, but it also means witness. In Islam, it is believed that every victim will testify against their murderer.

"Sabr" means patience. It is also the name of the figs that grow on the cacti in Palestine. Like the cactus patiently awaiting rain, Palestinians await justice.

This land for which they are willing to die, with which they face tanks. In its early years, Israel saw itself as David facing the Goliath represented by all the Arab countries around. Today, David is the Palestinian who has only stones against snipers who, when they don't kill him, aim for his kneecaps to have him amputated.
